Meet The Coach

Hi, I'm Laura Dawson, R.H.N., P.T.S., C.C.P.

My journey into wellness began with my own struggles around maintaining a healthy weight.

Through overcoming these challenges, I discovered a true passion for not just weight loss, but for creating a whole, vibrant life—a life full of vitality, disease prevention, and feeling good both physically and mentally.

Let me tell you a story…

For years, I was trying to balance everything at once—building a career in business, managing constant demands, and still wanting to feel good in my own body. Like many driven people, I pushed hard, stayed busy, and assumed I could “handle it all.” Over time, that pressure caught up with me.

I experienced steady weight gain, ongoing digestive issues, rising stress, and the kind of hormonal imbalance that quietly affects energy, mood, and motivation. I was functioning, but not thriving. My health felt like one more thing to manage in an already demanding life.

I tried many different approaches in hopes of finding the missing piece. Some helped temporarily, others didn’t quite fit my lifestyle, and none felt sustainable long-term. What I eventually realized was that consistency—not intensity—was what had been missing.

I had a breakthrough...

Everything changed when I committed to simplifying my approach and building habits rooted in well-established, evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle principles. Instead of chasing quick fixes, I focused on daily practices that supported my body, my schedule, and my goals. At first, it required intention and patience—but step by step, those habits became second nature.

As my health stabilized, so did everything else. My digestion improved, my energy returned, my hormones began to regulate, and my body composition followed. What started as a personal turning point became a lifestyle I could maintain—through running a landmark business, expanding into additional revenue streams, managing a household, and even stepping on stage as a fitness competitor.

That experience reshaped my purpose.

As I saw success in my own health journey, I wanted to take my passion to the next level. I enrolled at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN), where I graduated second in my class with honours. Wanting to expand my knowledge and impact, I became a Certified Personal Training Specialist through Canfitpro and later a Certified Coach Practitioner through the Certified Coaches Federation.

My education didn’t stop there. I continued my studies with CSNN’s advanced nutrition program, and I actively attend nutrition and fitness conferences, webinars, and devour any books I can find to keep myself at the cutting edge of the wellness industry.

Bringing it to life-

My true passion lies in helping others take their first steps towards wellness and teaching them how to make healthy living a sustainable part of their everyday life. I specialize in lifestyle troubleshooting, weight loss, muscle gain, special diets, burnout recovery, blood sugar balance, whole food health, and happiness.

A New Found Purpose...

Today, as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, I help busy individuals integrate wellness into real life—not ideal circumstances. I specialize in supporting people who are ambitious, overwhelmed, and tired of feeling like their health is always competing with their responsibilities. Through personalized programs and practical lifestyle troubleshooting, I help clients achieve weight loss and health goals in a way that’s sustainable, flexible, and realistic.

Whether someone is just starting their health journey or has been working at it for years but can’t seem to get everything to balance, I understand both sides—because I’ve lived them. My goal is to give people the tools, structure, and confidence to create results that last—not just for a moment, but as a way of life.

I worked with Laura off and on over the years; more consistently leading up to my wedding. As someone who has struggled with obsessive thoughts and behaviours around food, tracking and working out, Laura helped curve my mindset around all of these things to allow me to live happy and healthy lifestyle.

For me she was very much a lifestyle and mindset coach, just as much as she was a personal trainer. Laura is insanely knowledgeable around all things nutrition and helped me uncover certain food sensitivities that I had that were preventing me from achieving my goals. She made my custom programs that worked for me, kept me focused but all while motivating me in the way that was best for me.

I truly needed someone who would initially help me get back on track, but then involved into someone who would hold me accountable with my consistency.. but was also my biggest supporter if l ever struggled. I truly can't thank Laura enough for all she has taught me over the years.
